The battery project at Western Downs Green Power Hub continues to progress through the key development stages including:

• After receiving planning approval in 2021, the development of the Battery is now progressing through the pre-construction phase.
• Concurrently with the connection of the Solar Farm, Powerlink has largely completed the construction of a dedicated high-voltage line which will connect the Battery to the transmission network.
• Neoen is now running a consultation process to appoint the Principal Contractor for the Battery and launch construction before the end of 2022.
• The project is expected to create approximately 150 direct onsite jobs during construction and 6 direct onsite jobs during the 20 years of operations.
